Firstly
I make the support using MDF screwed onto a softwood frame which is then primed twice to seal the porous surface.
I
then prepare the paper pulp and mould the design freehand. The pulp is then left to dry, usually for a week or
more if the ambient temperature is low or, as in this case, the pulp is very thick. It is then sealed again before being
layered with professional quality acrylic paints, two coats of varnish are then applied to preserve this beautiful work
of art.
The sides are textured and painted, so there is no need to frame and therefore ready to hang straightaway.
A Certificate of Authenticity, stating details of the sculpture, signed and dated by the artist, will be
included.
