Using a
triple primed Loxley professional canvas a layer of tissue paper is layered over the entire surface (including the sides),
which is then manipulated to form a heavily textured effect. The lupins, made out of paper pulp, are then applied and
sculpted. The whole sculpture is then
left to dry, usually for a week or more if the ambient temperature is low or the pulp is very thick. It is then sealed
again before being layered with professional quality acrylic paints, two coats of varnish are then applied to preserve
this beautiful work of art.
The sides are textured and painted, so there is no need to frame and therefore
ready to hang straightaway.
A Certificate of Authenticity, stating details of the sculpture, signed and dated
by the artist, will be included.
Care Instructions will also be included.
