TITLE:	HIGH SUMMER
INSPIRATION:	This sculpture was inspired by the lupins growing in my garden.

DIMENSIONS:	20"W x 30"H x 1½"D  (51cm x 76cm x 3.8cm)
COLOURS:	Golden orange and yellow hues, warm reds, washed with hand-mixed metallics.  The lupins in Indian Red, brushed with liquid gold leaf.
DETAILS:	Using a triple primed Loxley professional canvas, lines of very wet paper pulp are dribbled onto the surface to form the background texture.  The lupins, made out of paper pulp, are then applied and sculpted.   The whole sculpture is then left to dry, usually for a week or more if the ambient temperature is low or the pulp is very thick.  It is then sealed before being layered with professional quality acrylic paints, two coats of varnish are then applied  to preserve this beautiful work of art. The sides are painted, so there is no need to frame and therefore ready to hang straightaway. A Certificate of Authenticity, stating details of the sculpture, signed and dated by the artist, will be included. Care Instructions will also be included.
