This sculpture was inspired just because I like hearts. I find them a happy
and comforting symbol and have used them repeatedly in my previous work.

COLOURS:
|
Red hues, brushed with hand-mixed metallics, mica and liquid gold
leaf. The central heart is covered with liquid gold leaf and metal leaf.

DETAILS:
|
Using
a professional Loxley chunky canvas, the paper pulp is spread over the surface which is then sculpted and
carved freehand. The pulp is then
left to dry, usually for a week or more if the ambient temperature is low or the pulp is very thick. It is then sealed
before being layered with professional quality acrylic paints, two coats of varnish are then applied to preserve this
beautiful work of art.
The sides are textured
and painted, so there is no need to frame and therefore ready to hang straightaway.
A Certificate of Authenticity, stating details of the sculpture, signed and dated
by the artist, will be included.
