TITLE:	ROCKPOOL
SERIES:	KENT COAST
INSPIRATION:	This sculpture was inspired by the Kent coast, Seasalter to be precise, one of my favourite places on earth.  I spent an afternoon photographing the wide and unspoilt landscape and this sculpture was taken from a photo I took of a rockpool.

DIMENSIONS:	16"W x 16"H x 1½"D (40.5cm x 40.5cm x 3.8cm)
COLOURS:	Sandy coloured hues, overlaid with burnt sienna washes, brushed with hand-mixed metallics.
DETAILS:	Using a  professional Loxley chunky canvas, the paper pulp is spread over the surface which is then sculpted and carved freehand.  The pulp is then left to dry, usually for a week or more if the ambient temperature is low or the pulp is very thick.  It is then sealed before being layered with professional quality acrylic paints, two coats of varnish are then applied  to preserve this beautiful work of art. The sides are painted, so there is no need to frame and therefore ready to hang straightaway. A Certificate of Authenticity, stating details of the sculpture, signed and dated by the artist, will be included. Care Instructions will also be included.
